How to Celebrate 420: The Haziest Day of The Year

Cannabis enthusiasts around the world look forward to April 20th for many reasons. It’s the perfect excuse to attend a festival or event, or spend the day hanging out with friends with some pre-rolls or weed brownies.

If you are new to cannabis or have never heard of 420, you may be wondering how the 420 tradition started and how you can celebrate it.

This article helps answer any questions and suggest some creative ways to celebrate 420. We’ll also recommend some products perfect for you and your friends to try.

Let’s start at the beginning. What exactly is 420, and how did it start?

The History of 420

Today 420 is an unofficial holiday that celebrates cannabis culture, but how exactly April 20th became associated with cannabis is still debated.

There are many theories around the origin of 420. Some people say it comes from the number of chemicals in cannabis. Others say it matches up with a mythical tea time in Holland. Finally, some speculate that the number comes from Bob Marley’s birth date or the death dates of Kurt Cobain, Janis Joplin, or Jimi Hendrix combined.

A famous 420 origin story that is widely accepted begins with a group of high school students who called themselves the Waldos.  Back in the 1970s, this group of school athletes would meet every day at 4:20 p.m. near a statue of Louis Pasteur to smoke cannabis.

The time 4:20 p.m. was chosen because it was right after they got out of practice, but before their parents got home from work, giving the teens a small window of opportunity to get high.

As the story goes, their code for their meetup started out as “4:20-Louie”, but Louis eventually was dropped. As word of the ritual spread, 420 became code for smoking marijuana. Ultimately, 420 was adapted to a calendar date – April 20th – as a day to celebrate all things cannabis.

Why Do People Still Celebrate 420?

Since the birth of 420, April 20th has been recognized by both cannabis enthusiasts and activists alike. Before Canada legalized cannabis, many activists used 420 as an opportunity to highlight the need for change in cannabis policies.

With the Cannabis Act in place in Canada, 420 has become a fun-filled day with events and festivals popping up all over the country.
Many cannabis fans see the day as a way to celebrate the legalization of cannabis within a community of like-minded enthusiasts, not to mention giving the nod to the recreational and medical benefits cannabis provides.

Ways to Celebrate 420

After two long years of enduring the isolation brought about by COVID-19 social distancing, most people are ready to go out and celebrate. Though some have celebrated 420 for a long time, this tradition is still new to many who are just beginning to become familiar with cannabis culture.

If you are new to marijuana or just want to make the most of your 420 celebrations, here are some ideas to get you started:

Make Tasty 420 Edibles

420 edibles

There are a ton of different ways to eat marijuana. Edibles can come in the form of baked goods, gummies, candies, chocolates, capsules, teas, and oils. So whether you like it savoury or want to keep it sweet, there are plenty of recipes that you can infuse with cannabis.

Perhaps one of the most recognized and popular edibles is weed  brownies

If you’re not big on chocolate, you can make any kind of cannabis-infused treat by replacing regular butter or vegetable oil with cannabis butter or oil in the recipe.

This is a great hands-on activity for those who want to control the potency level or anyone who loves cooking.

Watch a 420 Classic

420 movie

If a crowded festival or party isn’t your scene this April 20th, why not stay in and watch a movie.

Whether you are hosting a small gathering or celebrating solo, there are plenty of popular stoner flicks to choose from. Here are a few classics:

  • Friday  (1995)
  • Half Baked (1998)
  • Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle (2004)
  • Up in smoke (1978)
  • Pineapple Express (2008)
  • How High (2001)

Roll Up a Joint

420 Joint

Whether you’re a seasoned smoker or if this is your first time smoking weed, rolling up a joint is a staple of the 420 holidays. It’s not only a great way to relax and hang out with friends, but it’s also an excellent opportunity to try out different strains. So take a pick from our list of the best sativa strains in 2022 and have a blast with the best options out there.

Go to a 420 Festival

420 events and festivals

The Niagara Falls 420 Expo is a celebration of cannabis and the community right here in Ontario. This year’s event will have more than 30,000 square feet of everything cannabis-related, including exhibitors, educational seminars, guest speakers, and more.

There are plenty of other events happening in and around Toronto. From an Ecstatic Dance Party and Social at Chocolate Groove, where you can bust out your dance moves, to 420-themed comedy acts such as the Secret Stash Show and The 420 Show

In addition to these crowd-pleasers, many other events will be happening in Toronto, so be sure to keep a lookout.

Use Concentrates to Get the Most Out of Your 420 Experience

A concentrate is much more potent than an edible or a joint. This is because a concentrate contains cannabinoids, terpenes, and other compounds in their purest form. It creates a more potent high. If you’re looking for a stronger effect, concentrates are the way to go!

Experienced enthusiasts could give concentrates a try this 420 – you could dab a concentrate with a torch and oil rig or smear the concentrate on top of your cannabis flower in a pipe or joint.

If you’re new to concentrates, read our helpful guide here.

CBD vs THC: What’s the Difference

Even if you are new to cannabis, you have probably come across the terms THC and CBD.

Cannabidiol (CBD) and delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) are the two most common compounds found in cannabis.  Although both come from the same plant, they can affect the body differently.

If you are curious about CBD and THC and their effects, you’ve landed on the right article. We’ll explain the potential benefits of each, how they might affect you, and suggest some products you can try to see which compound is suitable for you.

What Is CBD?

CBD is one of more than 85 active cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. It is derived from hemp and cannabis plants but lacks psychoactive properties that cause people to get high. Instead, CBD is known for its medical properties like pain relief and improved sleep.

CBD interacts with neuroreceptors in your endocannabinoid system to help regulate your mood, homeostasis (the balance of various systems in your body), and immune system.

There’s a variety of CBD products you can pick from, including topical lotions, flower, edibles, tinctures, oils and vape pens.

What Is THC?

THC is the psychoactive ingredient in cannabis. Recreational cannabis products such as edibles and pre-rolls often contain THC, as this cannabinoid is responsible for the user’s euphoric effects or what is known as “high. ”

THC binds receptors in the nervous system and affects how a person remembers things, feels pleasure, moves around, thinks about things, concentrates on tasks, and perceives time. For example, some artists add THC to their creative process.

You can find THC in edibles, joints, vapes and topicals, among many other products on the market.

Are CBD and THC Similar?

Somewhat. CBD and THC are both cannabinoids and have the same molecular structure. However, there’s a slight difference in how the atoms are arranged. This is why one of these cannabinoids is psychoactive (THC) and the other one isn’t (CBD).

When it comes to potential benefits, both CBD and THC might be effective against insomnia and chronic pain. Besides that, clinical studies have shown that the mix of THC and CBD can help manage symptoms of anxiety, chronic pain and inflammation.

There’s a variety of products available on the market for both CBD and THC, including dried cannabis flowers, vape pens, edibles and more.

What Are The Key Differences Between CBD and THC?

Chemical Structure and Effects On the Body

CBD and THC have the same molecular structure, but how these molecules are arranged differs. Because of this difference, CBD and THC interact with the brain’s receptors in slightly different ways.

THC binds to the cannabinoid (CB1) receptors in our brain, causing euphoria and altering the user’s perception.

On the other hand, CBD has minimal, if any, binding effects on CB1 receptors. As a result, CBD does not cause euphoria.
So if you’re looking for a more wellness-focused experience, CBD products might be the way to go. They might help reduce inflammation, relieve physical pain, speed up the healing process, and improve stress management.

Where They Are Derived From

CBD can be derived from hemp or marijuana, but it is most commonly derived from hemp, which has low levels of THC. CBD products extracted from hemp are ideal for those who want to avoid the high produced by the THC compound.

On the other hand, THC is extracted from the marijuana plant because it has higher levels of the THC compound than hemp.

Potential Health Benefits

Research indicates that THC and CBD have wide-ranging positive effects on the human body.

To fully grasp these benefits, we first need to understand how our endocannabinoid system works. This system is a group of neurotransmitters that regulates several body functions, including sleep, mood, appetite, and memory.

THC and CBD  interact with the endocannabinoid system and influence various biological processes.

CBD

CBD lacks euphoric effects, which are present in THC. This is why some people prefer CBD because it does not create the high typically associated with marijuana.

CBD may help with conditions such as:

THC

THC may be used to relieve the symptoms of some medical conditions. And from a recreational standpoint, users prefer THC for its euphoric and relaxing effects.

THC has been shown to help with conditions such as:

Decarbing Your Cannabis: Dos and Don’ts

Homemade edibles are a great way to get high without having to smoke, and they can be a lot of fun to make too. Whether you’re a first-time cannabis user or a seasoned pro, there’s one thing you need to know before you start cooking your flower: decarbing is vital.

If you’re not familiar with the decarbing process, it might seem intimidating at first. Don’t worry, this article will discuss what decarbing is, how to do it properly, and our favourite tips and tricks to make perfect edibles.

What is Decarboxylation?

importance of thc and cbd in decarbing

Decarboxylation is the process of heating cannabis flower that activates cannabinoids like CBD and THC in it.

Decarboxylation is essential when making edibles, infused oils, topicals, and tinctures because it will activate the THC or CBD compounds in the plant. This is because these two cannabinoids are present in other forms (THCA and CBDA) in raw cannabis, but they are not as powerful and won’t deliver the desired effects. Decarboxylating process involves heat, which lets cannabis change these inactive cannabinoids into active ones.

Why Is Decarbing Important?

To get the “high” you want from smoking weed or eating edibles, you need to decarboxylate your cannabis. This means heating it to a specific temperature so that the non-psychoactive THCA cannabinoid is turned into the psychoactive THC cannabinoid.

When you are making edibles, decarbing should be the first step. If done incorrectly, you could waste your cannabis or get edibles that will not deliver your desired effects.

What Temperature Should You Decarb Flower At?

The temperature can affect how fast decarboxylation happens. You want to use the right temperature so that the process doesn’t take too long or your flower burns.

Different cannabinoids and terpenes require different decarboxylation temperatures. For example, THCA needs to be heated to about 220ºF for 30 to 45 minutes. The whole process can take a little longer, depending on which decarbing method you use and the quantity of cannabis.

The best way to decarboxylate cannabis is to use the least amount of heat possible. Low heat preserves the therapeutic cannabinoids and terpenes in the plant. Terpenes can be lost when exposed to high heat levels, so caution is essential.

Different Ways to Decarboxylate Cannabis

Decarbing cannabis is a relatively simple process because the basic idea behind decarboxylating cannabis is to heat it. There are many ways you can decarb at home, but here are our favourites:

1. Using an Oven

oven to decarb your cannabis

To decarb cannabis in an oven, you need a baking sheet, parchment paper and cannabis flower. Then, follow these easy steps;

a) Set the oven to 235 degrees Fahrenheit (120 degrees Celsius).

b) Meanwhile, place the parchment paper on a baking tray and spread your marijuana across it. Make sure to break up any large pieces with your hands. You can also use a grinder. Just make sure that your flower isn’t too fine. Otherwise, you’re risking burning your cannabis.

c) Place your tray into the oven. Every 10 minutes, check on your flower and mix it around to make sure it bakes evenly.

d) After approximately 35 – 40 minutes, take it out of the oven and let it cool.

2. Stovetop and Mason Jar

If you want to reduce the smell of weed in your kitchen that decarbing inevitably produces, a mason jar is a good option. The jar will keep the smell and the mess to a minimum.

To decarb cannabis using a stovetop and mason jar, follow these easy steps:

a) Grind your cannabis roughly and place it inside your mason jar. Seal the jar tightly. b) Pour water into your pot until it is halfway full. Place the jar inside the pot, and turn on your stovetop at low or medium heat.

c) You will need to let the jar and water simmer in the pot for about 90 minutes. Keep an eye on the water level so it doesn’t evaporate.

3. Oven and Mason Jar

This method is similar to the one above, but placing the mason jar in a pot, you put it in the oven. This technique is ideal for anyone who wants to keep the smell to a minimum but also doesn’t have 90 minutes to decarb their cannabis. Here’s how you do it:

1. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. Meanwhile, put your grinded cannabis in the mason jar. Make sure to close the top of the container tightly to minimize the smell.

3. Once the oven is preheated, place the jar on the oven rack. Make sure that it’s not touching the sides of the oven to avoid glass exploding.

4. Bake the cannabis for around 30 minutes or until it is dark brown.

What Are the Dos and Don’ts of Decarbing?

Dos

● Make sure the cannabis is spread out to distribute the heat evenly.

● To preserve the terpenes in your herb, use low heat.

● When it starts to turn a toasted colour, take it out to prevent it from burning.

Don’ts

● Do not over-grind your cannabis. It could easily burn.

● Do not try to decarb your weed at a too high temperature. You might burn off the psychoactive compounds you’re trying to preserve.

● Don’t lose patience and take your flower out before the timer goes off, or you won’t get fully decarbed weed.

Get Your Heat On!

Decarboxylating cannabis might seem complicated, but it is simply the process of heating raw cannabis flowers to activate the cannabinoids within the plant to enjoy the full benefits. And remember, this is an essential step before making any edibles or infused oils.

We hope this blog was helpful to you. As you decarb your cannabis, keep these tips in mind for the best results. If decarbing still seems like too much work, you can always check out Leaf Lab’s selection of edible products.

Cannabis gummies are taking over the edibles market for a good reason. They’re delicious, discreet, and offer plenty of great benefits. These mini, tasty treats come in different flavours and shapes, making them a favourite buy for many cannabis connoisseurs.

If you’ve never heard of cannabis gummies, you may be wondering what the fuss is all about. Read on to find out more about these popular edibles, the benefits they offer, and some brands you should try.

What Are Cannabis Gummies?

Cannabis gummies are a sweet, chewy, candy-like product infused with cannabis.

The main compounds found in the cannabis plant are Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol  (CBD). Cannabis gummies typically contain either CBD or THC and sometimes even both.

What Is the Difference Between CBD and THC Gummies?

The type of compound (THC and CBD) and their concentration in the product determine the overall effect cannabis gummies will have on you.

THC is a psychoactive substance, which means it can change the way a person’s brain and nervous system works, resulting in a well-known “high.” As a result, THC gummies are often used recreationally.

On the other hand, CBD-infused gummies are famous for their therapeutic effects and are mainly used for medical benefits.
The chemical composition of CBD and THC is nearly identical. Because of this, both compounds produce some similar effects. They can even work together in your body to enhance the unique benefits of each compound.

What Are the Benefits of Cannabis Gummies?

Apart from being a great alternative to smoking cannabis, gummies are discreet and easy to use anytime and anywhere. Gummies are also cost-effective, with most options on the market costing less than $10 per pack.

Another great advantage of gummies is that they offer dosage control and long-lasting effects. They usually take 45 minutes to 2 hours to work, and the effects may last up to eight hours.

While gummies are often used as a recreational treat to be shared with friends, they also offer therapeutic benefits. Some of these include:

How To Make Cannabutter: A Beginners Guide

If you’re a fan of cannabis but not into smoking, cannabutter is a great way to incorporate it into your lifestyle through your diet. Cooking with cannabis is fantastic for beginners and connoisseurs alike to gain access to all the benefits it brings.

Cannabutter is simply cannabis mixed with butter. You can treat cannabutter as a substitute for regular butter, which means the variety of ways you can use it are endless. You can spread it over a piece of warm toast or use it to make weed brownies or cannabis cupcakes. It can even make a great gift for newbies and non-smokers.

Making cannabutter in the comfort of your home is easy. It takes just two ingredients, a little bit of time and a step-by-step recipe to follow.

Thankfully, we got you covered with that last part.

Cannabutter Recipe

What You’ll Need:

Before you get started on making your cannabutter, you will need to get a couple of things together first.

  1. 8 -10 grams of THC or CBD flower
  2. 1 stick of butter (at least 228 grams)
  3. A cup of water
  4. Aluminium foil
  5. Baking tray
  6. Grinder
  7. Jar for storage
  8. Cheesecloth

Now that you have your ingredients and equipment, we can dive right into the recipe.

Cannabutter: Step by Step Guide

Step 1: Decarboxylate Your Flower

Decarbing is an essential step in your cannabutter journey, as heating your buds will allow you to activate the cannabinoids (THC or CBD) in the flower so that you can reap the full benefits.

  1. Preheat your oven to 240°F (115°C). Meanwhile, lay a piece of aluminium foil on the baking tray. Crumple it a little, to conduct the heat better.
  2. Grind your cannabis to ensure it bakes evenly. Do not grind it too fine, as it may burn easier.
  3. Spread the cannabis over the foil, place another foil on top, and put it in the oven for 45 minutes. Place the oven rack in the middle to bake evenly.
  4. Let it cool for 30 minutes, and after that, your decarbed cannabis is ready for use.  You can now move on to step 2.

Step 2: Mix Your Butter and Cannabis

  1. Place a medium pot or saucepan on low heat, add butter and water. Water keeps the temperature down and helps prevent the butter from burning.
  2. As soon as the butter melts, mix the decarboxylated cannabis with a wooden spoon and cover it with a lid.
  3. Let the mixture gently simmer for 4 hours. Stir every half hour to make sure your butter isn’t burning. If you have a thermometer, check to ensure the temperature doesn’t reach above 180°C.

Step 3: Strain the Cannabutter

Straining Your Cannabutter
  1. After your cannabutter is ready, strain it into a container with cheesecloth supported by a metal strainer. Use a rubber band to keep it in place while you strain. If you don’t have a cheesecloth, you can also use a coffee filter.
  2. It is important to give it enough time to drain. Then, once the straining process is complete, you can dispose of any residue.
  3. Leave the butter to cool at room temperature. After at least 30 mins, the butter will solidify, and you will see the layer of water you added at step two. Gently pour out the water, and your butter is ready for use.

How Can You Store Your Cannabutter?

Cannabutter Storage

Storing your cannabutter is an important step so it stays fresh. Any product that contains THC or CBD can lose potency over time if not stored correctly.

The best way to store cannabutter is in a jar or airtight glass container and kept in the refrigerator. It will last for about two weeks in the refrigerator.

If you don’t use up all of your cannabutter in that time, you can freeze it for up to 6 months.

Just make sure before you use your cannabutter, you smell it and observe the colour. A light yellow or brown are the perfect colour. Your cannabutter may even turn dark brown, but it is still good to use.

How Do You Dose?

It’s a good idea to start slow if you’re new to cannabis or have a low THC tolerance. Start with a small portion and wait at least two hours to feel the full effects of the cannabis before you take another bite.

THC Calculator

We also suggest using the edibles dosage calculator to dose your cannabutter or other homemade cannabis-infused recipes before you consume them.

The calculator will give you an accurate estimate of the potency of your cannabutter.

Here’s a Tip!

One of the most essential things that can make or break your cannabutter is the type of flower you use. We recommend using good-quality strains to get the full flavour and the desired effects.

Depending on your desired outcome, you may want to select a high CBD strain for milder and relaxing effects or choose a higher THC strain for a more euphoric effect. At Leaf Lab, we offer a variety of cannabis strains suited for any occasion – from Sativa, Indica to Hybrid. And while you’re picking out quality strains, don’t forget to buy the best butter you can find!

How to Make Weed Brownies: The Basics

Welcome to the world of weed brownies! You’ve seen them in movies, probably heard a funny story about them from one of your friends, but have you ever actually tried to make them?

Weed brownies are the most notorious cannabis-infused baked food, but why? They are the king of cannabis confectionery for a good reason. This cannabis treat is easy to make, delicious to eat and can be enjoyed in the comfort of your home or even given as a gift. But what else makes them so appealing?

What Are the Benefits of Edibles?

Edibles have quickly risen to the top of the favourite list for many. Not only are they delicious and easy to consume, but edibles also affect the body differently from smoking or vaping cannabis.

This is because THC is absorbed through the stomach and takes more time for your metabolism to process, so the effects are slower to take hold but result in a more potent experience.

Edibles can come in CBD formats, which can provide the anxiety-relieving benefits of cannabis without the high.

So why would you opt for an edible when lighting up a pre-roll seems more straightforward, and the effects kick in quicker? Well, for one, when you smoke a joint, the smell is very noticeable. But when you chow down edibles (like weed brownies), you can discreetly consume cannabis anywhere, anytime.

It’s also an excellent alternative for those who prefer not to smoke or look for longer-lasting effects.

How Do I Make Weed Brownies?

1. Choose Your Cannabis

We all know the secret ingredient in “special” brownies is cannabis.

You can add the cannabis flower right into the batter, but it might not yield as delicious of a dessert. There are a few tips and tricks for baking tasty cannabis-infused brownies.

Cannabis Oil

This is another popular infuser, which can be either made at home or bought from a store. You can either opt for a THC oil or CBD oil, depending on the effects you want to experience.

Cannabis oil is interchangeable with regular oil in any weed brownie recipe and can act as a vegan or lactose-free substitute for cannabutter.

The recipe below will be using cannabis oil, so make sure to have some on hand!

Cannabutter

Cannabutter is one of the most common ways to infuse an edible, especially when it comes to baked goods. This combination of cannabis and butter serves as a substitute for traditional butter, meaning that you could even turn your Grandma’s sacred brownies recipe into a weed brownies recipe if you want.

If you don’t have it already premade, you can find how to make cannabutter right here

Cannabis Sugar

If you have a sweet tooth, want to make your own infuser but don’t have the patience to stand next to your stove for hours, cannabis sugar is your go-to.

It’s incredibly easy to make. You simply need cannabis tincture and any type of sugar. After you mix those, let the sugar rest for 48 hours, and voila – it’s ready to be used.

Fair warning – this will make your batch ultrastrong.

Decarbed Flower

Remember how we said you couldn’t throw some flower into the brownie mix? Well, that’s not entirely true. You could if you decarb your cannabis first.

The most common way you decarb is by lighting it on fire (joints) or vaporizing it. But for cannabis that you plan to use in baking, you need to harness the power of the plant in your oven by baking it.

This is because compounds in cannabis (like THC and CBD), need heat to convert to the magical herb of relaxation in a process called decarboxylation.

If you’re using just cannabis flower, it’s essential to focus on the quality of the strain. Leaf Lab has a variety of top-notch strains that you can use, like Early Lemon Berry or Blue Dream.

Concentrates

You could also use cannabis concentrates as an infuser for your brownies, especially if you want to make them more potent. Any type of concentrate would work from CO2 Oil to shatter – just keep in mind that you might have to decarb them first if needed.

If you’re curious about which type of concentrate you should use, you can read more about them here

Remember that choosing between infusion methods is a personal preference, and you can use these infusers interchangeably in most edible recipes.

  2. Calculate Your Dosage

Now that you have your infuser think of the dose. Just like adding chili to a dish to make it spicy, you don’t want to make it too spicy, so you better dose your brownies accordingly.

If you’re new to cannabis, we recommend starting with a small dose and then increasing gradually. Knowing exactly how many milligrams of THC and CBD content is in your brownie makes it easier to know how it will make you feel, but this may be a little hard when you’re baking on your own.

You could refer to the flower’s packaging label that states the levels of THC and CBD to dose accordingly.

If math isn’t your thing, there are many THC calculators online which could make this step a breeze.

Now that we have our dosage, let’s get baking. We will use half a cup of cannabutter for this simple recipe.

3. Bake Some Brownies!

Fun Fact: You can customize this recipe to suit your taste.

Gather Your Baking Ingredients

You will need:

  • ⅔ cups cannabis oil
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ⅓ cup cocoa powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cup of flour (or almond flour)

After gathering the ingredients, you can start the baking process:

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350° F or 180° C. Meanwhile, beat eggs on low speed.

Step 2: Mix in the cannabis oil and sugar until well blended. After the mixture is uniform, add vanilla.

Step 3: Mix flour, salt, cocoa, and baking powder in a separate bowl.

Step 4: Stir dry ingredients into the butter and sugar mixture.

Step 5: After combining everything well, pour into a greased 9 x 9 oven-safe square pan.

Step 6: Bake for 20 minutes or until the sides just start to pull away from the pan. You can use a toothpick to check whether the brownies are fully baked before removing them from the oven.

Step 7: Let them cool completely before cutting.

Step 8: Sink your teeth into your weed brownie. You deserve it after all your hard work.

How Do I Store Weed Brownies?

Brownies

As with regular brownies, you want to ensure that your weed brownies are stored in an airtight container to keep them fresh and potent for as long as possible.

You can keep them for four days in the pantry or up to two weeks in the fridge.

Can You Freeze Weed Brownies?

Unless you’re making weed brownies to share with friends, you will probably not want to, nor should you eat an entire batch alone at once.

The good news is that you can freeze weed brownies and enjoy them at a later date without going through all the hassle of baking a new batch. Instead, simply wrap them in plastic wrap or aluminum foil, then slide them into a labeled freezer bag.

Some people report that the taste and potency can intensify after the brownies have been frozen, so look out for that!
